Title: USER DEFINED REPORTS IN JC
Post by Karen Mason on 09/15/03 at 07:19:01

User defined reports in JC similiar to other User defined reports such as SA-N & SA-M.  We do a lot of job comparisons by part number.  Something that would create a one line per p/n rather than 1/2 page per p/n would help tremendously in that comparison.  Maybe a check off list of what to include.  For example: W/O#, Lot #, Seq-pcs/hour, cost/pc for labor, OH, Matl, etc.

This would be a great analysis tool.

Thanks

Great Idea. It also would be a good idea to be able to see the standard pieces per hour versus the actual pieces per hour by operation and also in totals for each job, standard vs act, in some cases.

Keep in mind that this kind of reporting is qyuite expensive to program in the DBA environment.  Requires a LOT of code.  And good as the DBA programmer is that Lynn uses, there is a limit.  Also requires adding every single field into the RTM to be available and figuring out many different possible combinations of layouts so that with each combination the info fits on the page.  Bottom line......not extraordinarily practical.
