Title: WO rebuild totals Post by stl3370 on 04/20/04 at 11:36:36 I just saw this routine mentioned in another post and I have had to do the same many times. Can this be added as a menu item so that it's easier to get to without going through Enter Finished Production? Thanks, Sean Leybold Optics |
Title: Re: WO rebuild totals Post by aricon on 04/20/04 at 12:07:38 Yes, and you can add it yourself. Just go to the menu files (bring them up in Notepad) and add it to the menu you want. The actual program name is BKREBWO. |

Title: Re: WO rebuild totals Post by cathyh on 04/20/04 at 16:36:13 How does one go to the menu files? ??? I would like to add this also. |
Title: Re: WO rebuild totals Post by Lynn Pantic on 04/20/04 at 17:02:54 TAS 6 Evolution has its own program to edit menus by user so each user can have their own menu. Standard DBA is more limited but you can edit the menu available to all users. It is a file named BKMENUW.ARY in the DBAMFG folder. Make a backup copy before you try making changes to it, it can be temperamental :o Open it with NotePad and scroll down past all the comments at the beginning (lines beginning with a semicolon are comments) until you get to the first actual menu section, which is the WO menu. Look at the existing menu entries to see the way the items are set up and you should be able to figure it out. In the part of the menu line where the actual program name is specified (such as BKWOA for WO-A) make sure you have no spaces. That's one of the things it gets temperamental about. |
Title: Re: WO rebuild totals Post by aricon on 04/20/04 at 19:30:20 Lynn, Tempramental? Kind of equivalent to saying that the Pope is a bit of a religious guy, isn't it? ;D |
Title: Re: WO rebuild totals Post by cathyh on 04/21/04 at 14:32:04 Lynn, I was really nervous about dealing with tempermental programs but did it anyway and it worked! Thanks! |

Title: Re: WO rebuild totals Post by Lynn Pantic on 04/21/04 at 15:23:35 Not sure where you added it but it will be WO-K-H on the next IS Tech Update (this week I hope!) |
Title: Re: WO rebuild totals Post by cathyh on 04/23/04 at 08:30:01 I just added it to the end of the list, WO-Q. But I will take it out right before I load the next update. Work order maintenance sounds much more logical. Thanks! |
