We have one machine that takes five tools per setup and another that takes six. I'm sure there are machines out there that use dozens of tools per setup.

I realize that I could use multiple routings to get all the tools in, but I don't what what benefit there'd be to it, and it would be a lot simpler if we could just assign more than one tool per routing.

We have setup BOM for some of our tools. It helps the die shop know the different parts that are required for each set of tools-especially when they are doing a repair.

There are not only multiple tools needed to do jobs, there are also inspection tools, etc.
