I have been seeing Serial Controlled items after posting invoices that leave the UOH in the serial file and not assigning a sales order to the serial #. The unit is pulled from stock, the serial # prints on all the docs. It did it with only one of about 15 items in the posting. It may be a good idea to have everyone out of the system when posting invoices. I am sure it was a record lock issue, but their were no warrnings or errors during the posting.

Well I see a pattern here. Everytime it leaves the UOH in the serial file is when the item in question is on the second line of the SO. Today all 50 PCS. on line 2 stayed in the serial UOH and no SO # associated with it. This is really a pain to keep the available to ship report accurate.

Well I can see the problem during posting. At the end of the posting routine, you see the serialized items process through. The order I knew had a second line item with 30 units. The first line processed but the second line never went in. It went to the next SO. I hope thjis is identified and fixed by the next release. Hey lynn, can I roll back the BKSOG.RUN to an earlier version?

Has this debugging effort brought fruit? We are having the same problem with our kitted items that have serialized items inside them. The serialized item happens to be the second item in the kit. They recorded fine up until the 9/25/05 update.

We do get a message that says "No Serial Control is needed for this S/O"

Didn't make the 11/18 post (which actually got uploaded today but that's another story) but we are looking at it right now and will email you a patch. Since the programmer looking at it is Canadian and had his turkey last month, it should be fixed by Monday.

Colin & John, I emailed you the fix and also patched the download file last evening (Friday). So if anybody else needs the fix, if you have not yet downloaded the 11/18 update, it indludes the fix. If you already downloaded and installed the update and need the fix, email me and I will send it to you.
