Title: ROHS Compliance Post by tcook on 01/17/06 at 10:38:42 As part of our ROHS compliance, we are changing/adding many part numbers. Is it possible to have a field added to IN-A to display ROHS Compliant Y/N? |
Title: Re: ROHS Compliance Post by Lynn Pantic on 01/19/06 at 12:51:00 You are the third user in as many days who has brought up the ROHS compliance issue and how to handle it. We should be able to find someplace in the inventory master to store such a flag. |
Title: Re: ROHS Compliance Post by shadowcaster on 01/19/06 at 15:13:05 I could use that too in fact I need to get started on it ASAP j dub |
Title: Re: ROHS Compliance Post by Vman on 01/20/06 at 13:27:36 Our company is looking at this too. Of course, we have yet to decide how we will handle the parts that we have both lead and lead-free versions of. Probably different part numbers. |
Title: Re: ROHS Compliance Post by Lynn Pantic on 01/20/06 at 19:36:08 Sounds like the issue of the week - we will fnd a place to store the flag and add to the program. |
Title: Re: ROHS Compliance Post by lburns on 01/26/06 at 15:16:19 Thank you Lynn! This is a HUGE issue for us here. Can you provide an eta on such a luxury as we are working on ROHS compliance for many many parts both raw material and customer parts? If there is a wish list regarding this - is there a good way to reference the non-rohs compliant part to the rohs compliant part someway?? My first dent on this problem is a seven page spreadsheet with non-rohs to rohs compliant parts and I am sure that this list is just the beginning. Somehow I think this rohs issue is only going to get bigger and bigger - finally by September, we may have a feel for the impact... Thanks again! Laurie |
Title: Re: ROHS Compliance Post by Lynn Pantic on 01/26/06 at 19:53:52 I see you have registered to come to Phoenix - we can discuss the fine points there. First and simplest update is a setting in IN-B where an item can be designated Y or N for RoHS Compliance. That should be available in the February update. |
Title: Re: ROHS Compliance Post by Lynn Pantic on 02/21/06 at 17:19:39 Step 1 is the flag in IN-B to indicate compliance. Once we have that (coming this week) then what do you want to do with it? Filter in IN-F? Visible in IN-A? BM-A? |
Title: Re: ROHS Compliance Post by lburns on 02/21/06 at 21:52:48 A filter in IN-H and flag visability in BM-D as well please :) Thanks Lynn for your attention to the rohs issue... Laurie |
Title: Re: ROHS Compliance Post by lburns on 02/21/06 at 21:57:12 I forgot one...in the customer screen to denote if the customer requires ROHS compliant material or does not....is that possible?? Time for bed... Thanks again Lynn! Laurie |
Title: Re: ROHS Compliance Post by Lisa_Jones on 02/22/06 at 13:14:25 Per our conversation yesterday, additonal RHS considerations: 1. Be able to print inventory reports that show ROHS status. 2. Should show on A screen as well as B screen 3. We actually have developed several RHS catetgories during the transition to show if we have mixed inventory, all ROHS or NON ROHS. We are keeping the same part#'s so this has been useful. We are currently using the Category screen for this, but would like to have a field specifically for ROHS 4. On that note- a comments/Notes section for Items would be really helpful. LJ |
Title: Re: ROHS Compliance Post by Dave Miller on 05/16/06 at 13:53:28 I am delighted with the additions in the 5/8 release. One other place I would like to see the RoHS status is somewhere on the Traveler so the floor knows it is RoHS from the traveler. |
