It would be very handy to have a free form notes feature where miscelleaneous notes could be attached to each employee. These notes could be used to explain different events and dates not covered by raises and reviews, such as dates of 401k, insurance participation, tax status, and address changes and events, etc... This would save having to search through employee files for the paper records when a question arises.

i like this idea... kind of like... history notes for employees. could we have codes like in CM history notes?

Interesting you say that.. I just spent the last two days writing a new Notes system for Evo. You now can have unlimited notes for anything in the system even blank for SYSTEM Notes like Policies and Procedures, or Internal Memos. Notes can now be attached to anything from Parts to Employees. You can assign them a type like STD for Standard notes, HID for hidden notes or PCK for Packing instructions and so on and so on.. There is a new table for Notes type that you can add to. My plan is when it is time to print something like a packing slip, and you say yes to print Notes, it will ask you what Note Types to print. These new Notes also can be imported from files instead of having to type them in.

The new T7INB may have this in our next post....

hey, my employee handbook says I can't harass other employees... it says nothing about outside programmers.
