Title: Item Base Price in IN-B
Post by jwoods on 09/08/06 at 08:25:43

Is it possible to allow users to enter an item's base price in IN-B?  When creating new part numbers by copying an existing part we would not have to remember go to SO-Q-A to set the correct price if different.

No way that I know of. I agree it would be nice for exactly the same reason you mention.

I agree, entering the base price here (possibly controlled by a SD-Q flag for those that do not want the feature) would save a ton of time and make less to remember.

I'd be in favor of this also.  I always thought it cumbersome to create am item then have to leave the inventory module to go to SO to enter a price.

Ok the new T7INB screen, soon to be released, will have this option. and yes it will have a SD-Q setting to turn it on.

;)

Not a big deal to me, but I was expecting that to be a concern in some environments.

It is a big deal for us, since we restrict IN-B access to a few people involved in design control and purchasing, while we restrict price setting to just marketing management.

Exactly, that is why there are so many settings in SD-Q.  Some like it hot, some like it cold...

I prefer mine in the pot, nine days old.
