Title: Change location of popup windows
Post by kkmfg on 09/26/06 at 11:52:02

Here's another zinger that most people probably haven't run into but is VERY annoying for me.

I have two monitors on my machine. EvoERP defaults to placing popup message boxes in the middle.... of both screens. The box is half on one screen and half on the other. Is there already a way to fix this? It should be in the middle of ONE screen not both.

Like I said, this is probably largely unique to me as I doubt that too many people have dual monitor setups for ERP work.

I have one person here who uses a dual-monitor setup (Win2k with a Nvidia card).  Windows treats the two monitors like one big screen, so if you have an application set up to take up both monitors (full screen), a window that pops up in the middle ends up half on each screen. I our case, there are some settings in the Nvidia software that allow you to set defaults, but I have never been able to get it to not center things like the windows logon screen.
I would think that if you have EVO set up to come up on one monitor, the logon screen would be in the center of that monitor, but it would depend how your OS and the graphics card handle it.

It is an nVidia card and the desktop does span both monitors. However, the login screen doesn't. When I login the screens are in mirroring mode. Also, it still is possible for an app to find the middle of the screen instead of the middle of the desktop. I don't run Evo on both screens just one. It still centers the message boxes. It's really annoying because you can't read a thing!

Other apps don't do this, just Evo seemingly.
