Beginning yesterday, for every purchase order line item a confirm box pops-up stating an inventory location record was not found for the location specified on this order. Do you want to create one with this order. Entry will not continue until you respond yes. We have not changed any defaults to my knowledge. The only location we have is blank which has been set-up for years. Sales order can locate the inventory location record. Any suggestions?

In the current ISTECH version, under SD-Q ->Items, there is an option to enable Warehouse control.

If you do not want to use multiple bins, you can set this option (in the Items group) to 'N'.
It should then work the way it did before warehouse control was introduced.

Thank you for your response. The warehouse control is not enabled and is set to 'N'.
Any other suggestions?

I am also getting this - here is an email response from Lynn regarding the issue ...

I am getting it too, I will have Allen take a look. Monday. He is in pain this afternoon, going for a root canal tomorrow morning and so drugged up with pain meds that I wouldn’t trust his brain to look at anything this afternoon.

I just updated to the 7/14/07 update, and now I'm also getting the "an inventory location record was not found...do you want to create one?" If I answer No , it kicks me back to the REF field. It doesn't happen for every single item, though...only some of them, and I can't tell why. Enable Warehouse Control set to N in SD-Q. Has this been resolved?

Hello,

I know that this was quite awhile ago, but, this is happening to us. :'(
Can you please tell me how it was fixed? We'd really appreciate it over here...it is causing some other major problems with my inventory.

Yes it was. For now, we have not seen this problem come up again.
We ran SM-J-C and also I believe we were sent something to download that helped as well.
