Title: User defined button on Main menu Post by deburr on 10/19/07 at 10:52:08 I've started a intranet help website, to help our users, with our adaptation of EVO-ERP to our business. Because I don't know of any other way to provide a link to the help website, I have added a link to an Item # HELP in enter inventory that users can access without leaving the program. It would be great if we could have a button like the IS Tech Support link on the main menu, that we could insert our own link, and have it accessable at all times. |
Title: Re: User defined button on Main menu Post by JNAPIER on 10/19/07 at 12:21:22 Hey Kevin, I have setup a new level of Menu called Customs. I than added buttons to access local programs or command line type things. Might work for you. John |
Title: Re: User defined button on Main menu Post by deburr on 11/23/07 at 06:27:13 John How do you make the buttons run local programs? How would I sent up IE to run and open TOC.HTM? When I try to do anything, I get a message that TOC.RWN does not exist. My experience with command line stuff is very basic. Thanks, Steve |
Title: Re: User defined button on Main menu Post by NovaZyg on 11/23/07 at 10:41:54 Steve, I like the Idea, I just added the ability at add anything to the menu.. The standard is still RUN, RWN, and EXE's but you can now make a menu point to anything windows can open, and you can then hot key it. So in your case you can add it to a users menu by using TAS-G. Select the user and add a new line to a menu.. for the program you can put C:\my webs\whatever\TOC.HTM and the Fast Sel choose something like Shift-F1 then save. This will now allow your users to load your TOC.HTM just by pressing Shift-F1 while the Evo menu is in focus. This should also work for Excel Spread Sheets, Word Docs, Etc... I will send it to Lynn and have it put up in a patch. ;) |
