Title: Strange behavior with a PO and Conv Factor Post by kevind on 11/29/07 at 11:00:34 We have some material that we purchase in Liters. We want to stock this item in Gallons. I have set the Stocking and Pricing units to GA and have set the Purchase Units to L. We have entered .26417 as the converstion factor. When we receive 1 unit (liters) we want .26417 Units (gallons) to be put in stock. I have entered a price through PO-H. I left the Purch U/M set to L and the Conversion factor set to .2642 (please note that PO-H is 1 decimal shorter than inventory).\ I entered the price in purchase units ($9.1724 per liter). I entered a PO for qty 25 of this item. The extended price shows up as $9.17 instead of 25 * 9.1724 = $229.31. In PO-H, it specifically said that the prices entered should be in purchased units. This is the first time that we have had an item with a conversion factor less than 1. Other items with conversion factors greater than 1 work fine. Any Ideas?? |
Title: Re: Strange behavior with a PO and Conv Factor Post by Lynn_Pantic on 11/29/07 at 12:13:40 Looks like it is the UM and not the conversion factor. Use LTR for Liter instead of L. It appears to be using the "L" as "Lot Charge". |
Title: Re: Strange behavior with a PO and Conv Factor Post by kevind on 11/29/07 at 15:49:28 That fixed it. FYI - According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Litre), Capital 'L' or lower case 'L' are the official Symbols for Liter. |
