When converting a sales order to a work order for a part we rarely sell, I noticed that the qty BO was 3 and the qty AVAIL was -3. I thought that was strange since we shouldn't have any of these parts on a sales order at this time. I continued to convert and then went into IN-A and looked at that part. It said that the qty BO was 1 and the qty on WO 1 - which is right. Why would there be a discrepency between the two?

Any ideas?

I suspect it is the same reason that what the IN-A screen shows before it finishes "Rebuilding stock status" is different than after. That is - the live quantities are not stored anywhere, they are calculated on the fly. What you see first is what was last calculated.
