Title: ENWOC1.RTM  not found in DBA directory
Post by carie on 04/09/08 at 12:34:03

We are in the process of changing the new EN rtm's so we can use them. But the rtm for printing
the traveler is not found, even though it defaults to it.

Help

Hi
I had the same problem after we have downloaded the 3/27/08 update. What I had to do is on your RTM editor open T6WOC1.RTM file and then do a save as ENWOC1.RTM as long as it is in your DBAMFG folder it will work. There's a trick to it if you search it will not come up but it should work.

It worked for us! After the update all our pre designed forms were wiped out and had to redesign it all over.

Hope it works for you and good luck!

You can't just open the T6 RTM and Save As and give it the EN RTM Name.  You need the standard EN RTMs to copy your T6 changes to.  It looks like the traveler EN RTMs were omitted but they have been added to www.istechsupport.com/dl/enrtm.zip and will be added to the post file as well.

I was just getting ready to do this- download the EN RTM's and get them ready.  I always do a complete backup before I update so I would be able to get them back, but shouldn't this be fixed?

The update does NOT overwrite existing RTMs.  But if the Evo Notes are turned on, then the programs are looking for the RTMs with names starting with EN rather than T6 and you have to copy changes to T6 RTMs to the corresponding EN RTM.  Similar to the copying of changes to BK RTMs to T6 when Evo is initially installed.

It may for now but if you ever have Evo Notes tied to parts or WO or anything related to the traveler, it may not work in the future.

Manufacturing-WO-G Issue material, eversince I have downloaded the new updated on EVO (12/15/07) when we issue material it's doing it one part at a time which is time consuming if you have a lot of parts that goes with the board. Below is a copy of an e-mail from our V.P. of Mfg.:

Hi Analiza,

I just completed issuing material for Martha on seven Fire Sentry KAN BAN jobs and it took forever, again. EVO is issuing components one item at a time. Is there anything you can do? I would like to spend my time more productively.

Thanks,
Ron

======
As you can see I am desperate to try and solve this mess so please- If you have an answer or suggestions on how to fix this problem, please please please e-mail me and thanks in advance!  :( [/quote]

We had modified our RTM's with our company logo and renamed them so that it would be easy for folks to find the modified ones(i.e., MEIPO.rtm).  Can I rename a modified EN RTM and as long as the first two letters of the name are EN it will work with notes turned on or do I have to use the exsisting form names?

The EN RTM Zip file was re-uploaded yesterday (4/14) with the Traveler RTMs included.  My bad...   :-[

As for the form name, the actual name can be anything you want it to be but the base form you start with needs to be the "EN" version if you have the default for Evo Notes in SD-Q turned on and the "T6" version if you have notes turned off.  The defalt setting controls the way the program sends the output to the RTM.  If notes are turned on, then the program expects the RTM to have a place to print the notes and if they are turned off, it does not.
