On the last two new customers I have entered into AR-A CSH notes have appeared magically!
On both customers no notes where entered at the time of adding the customer. I'm not sure where they are coming from and both notes are different.

HELP!

No I cant say that I have... but the notes are a relatively new part of the system and stranger things have happened.

I will try duplicating the issue here.. if I can do it, then i can fix it..

It happened again today - BUT not on entering a new customer.

This time we were editing an existing sales order. We changed the price on 2 items, saved the SO. Freight come up, oked, notes for our bill to came up, exited, then mystery notes showed up attached to the ship to. They show created on 6/24/08 at 10:19am. This is the time we were in sales order making our changes.

This is going to require me to do an audit of all CSH notes to make sure they are correct in all my acct. I use these notes to show what a customers "usual" orders are. :(

Something very similar is happening to us, each time we have entered a new customer over the last few months, the notes of a different customer is appearing in the notes section of the newly added customer.

Did anyone ever get to the bottom of this?

Yes, I did. It has been fixed in the latest release.

or at least I have not heard otherwise from the people who I sent the fix to.

Well it happened to me again but this time in Vendors. Magically appeared notes from another vendor maybe?

Carrie, we have a huge problem with our notes, we have nearly abandoned notes completly, we don't know which notes are true, so the best we could do is just act like every note in the system is garbage. To be honest, I haven't had the time to devote to this problem, I hope when they fix your problem, mine can be fixed as well.

Where can i go to print all notes for all my customers so I can start the editing process? For classic and evo notes.

We use notes on PS as instructions to packing and shipping depts; special packing instructions, customer account number (FEDEX, UPS, etc.) to bill the ship charges, special certs, etc. This seems to work OK if the notes are tied to the billing customer, but not to the Ship-to customer code. Since the information such as the shipper account can be location-specific, we'd like to print notes linked to the Ship-to. How do we use notes for this? Can we print both bill-to and ship-to notes on the same document?

Yes - if your using the evo notes both notes should pop up after saving the sales order
