Title: Editing Rev level in IN-B Post by GasGiant on 01/27/09 at 11:29:38 After updating the revision level @ IN-B and hitting save, this error comes up: http://www.camhost.net/evo_error.jpg |
Title: Re: Editing Rev level in IN-B Post by RPCAdmin on 01/27/09 at 12:01:05 Works OK for me - although I have not done the 12/21 update yet........ |
Title: Re: Editing Rev level in IN-B Post by GasGiant on 01/27/09 at 13:22:43 Looks like it is not just that one box. Most edits are throwing the same error. We may need to reboot. |
Title: Re: Editing Rev level in IN-B Post by GasGiant on 01/27/09 at 22:18:07 Rebooted, but still get same error for every edit in IN-B. I even ran it directly on the server and got the same error. Something wrong with our copy of T7INB.RWN? Maybe it is time to upgrade. |
Title: Re: Editing Rev level in IN-B Post by GasGiant on 02/03/09 at 07:45:37 Okay, I installed the 12/21 upgrade... same-same. Even thought the T7INB has a new date on it, I still get the exact same error. So, it is not a problem with that file. Or any of the other programs that were updated/over written. What could it be? All workstations throw the same error, even if I run it on the server, so not NIC related. Ideas? |
Title: Re: Editing Rev level in IN-B Post by GasGiant on 02/04/09 at 13:00:37 Turns out it is a problem with the audit file. Interesting. |
Title: Re: Editing Rev level in IN-B Post by RPCAdmin on 02/04/09 at 13:11:53 Did a reindex of MTICMSTR make any diff? |
Title: Re: Editing Rev level in IN-B Post by GasGiant on 02/04/09 at 13:56:43 Our audit file for Items (ISMICADT.Bnn) had grown to 2GB and choked on the PSQL 2000i limit. Have to init the file tonight. |
Title: Re: Editing Rev level in IN-B Post by NovaZyg on 02/04/09 at 13:58:50 It was not MTICMSTR.. turns out that his ISMCADT file grew to over 2 gig.. the limit for Pervasive 2000i, and 8.. Pervasive 9 and up have a setting to have files over the 2 gig size limit. These files are just the audit information of who changed what and when to Inventory. They can live without that, so they will initialize the files and all will be well again. ;) |
Title: Re: Editing Rev level in IN-B Post by gtladmin on 02/06/09 at 14:44:30 So, what's an ideal size for these anyway? I have one company that the file size for this one and another file that looks like an audit file (isicadt) that are approaching 500MB. What if we wanted to keep the info someplace and shrink the file size? Does a large size tend to cause more problems than a smaller size? |
