There are (at least) 4 different balances potentially affected here:
1. Customer Account balance in AR as seen on the Aging (AR-F)
2. GL Balance in the AR Account
3. Check Register Balance to be reconciled with the bank statement (GL-I)
4. GL Balance in the cash account

What is right and what is wrong?

the bank bal is ok
The A/R and customer account are overstated by the credit amount.

Then you have to enter an AR Voucher in AR-B but the other side of the GL posting will have to go someplace.
