We've had a consistent $42.18 difference between total assets and total liabilities and equity on the balance sheet, going back to early 2006. We lost power in our office as DBA (we were on DBA back then) was posting an inventory transaction. The GL was then $42.18 out of balance, and we had to post a one-sided journal entry to be able to post any more entries to the GL. But since then, every month total assets is $42.18 less than total liabilities and equity.

Can this be fixed?

Absolutely. Is the Trial balance (GL-E) out of balance or only the Balance Sheet? If the Trial Balance is good, UT-K-D will fix it. If the trial balance is off. then UT-A, EDITGL to make the one sided entry and UT-K-D to the affected account.
