I am playing around with the Evo notes on my install of the September 16th update on our stand-alone.
When I enter SO notes on a new SO, and print the acknowledgment, the notes are printed twice.
Is there a setting I am missing?

Now it prints three times. I got rid of the csn type, added a note type cus for customer notes and am trying to print a sales order with cus note. The sales order does not have any notes now (I deleted them) and I am picking only customer "cus" notes and still I get multiple prints of the same notes. I would really like to understand these notes so that we can start using them.

Did you go into the sales order and check to see if those notes are now attached to the sales order? If you pick your cus notes at each printing I believe they keep getting added to the sales order.

Yes I did go into the sales order and there are no notes attached. That is what is puzzling. Where are the duplicate notes coming from??

Maybe someone can tell me where these notes are coming from so that I can delete them. I really want to install the latest update (Sept 16 SP4)and start using the Evo notes but can't do it until I know I fix these notes printing multiple times on the sales order.
Help!

I had the same problem with double notes on purchase orders...below is the note from Lynn and it worked for me.

Reply #4 - Oct 31st, 2009, 9:53am Double Notes are because hte Note Type is "CSN" and you turned Evo Notes on. If Evo Notes is set to Y then you need to change the Type of Notes to something other than CSN.

"CSN" Notes are Classic Synchronized Notes and they are saved both to the Evo Notes file and the old Classic Notes file. As a result, once you turn Evo Notes on, it is printing both and you get them twice. For POs that already exist with the CSN Notes, when the Evo Notes window pops up during printing, set it not to print the CSN Notes and then it will print them once from the Classic file but not a second time fromteh Evo Notes file.

On a Sales Order that is printing the customer notes 4 times now, I uncheck all evo notes and the multiple notes are still there. I need to know what files contain the notes for sales orders, both classic and evo? Maybe I can delete them for this sales order and start over. They are not showing when I open the sales order and look at notes.
