Title: BM-G Calc Issue
Post by gtladmin on 11/16/09 at 14:38:31

When using BM-G to print a range of items, the report is adding the Out Proc costs together.  Our product engineer and Walter do not think this is correct!

What we are seeing:

Run BM-G 3 times, once for three different parts:  ILTXX-SLX-WXX-C, ILTXX-SLX-WXX-L, ILTXX-SLX-WXX-R
Results For each part report:

part ILTXX-SLX-WXX-C:
Component Totals                               Setup            Material          Out Proc
                                                         0.000000    95.006971         15.000000
Incremental Costs for parent                 0.000000    0.000000           19.000000
*** Total Costs ***                              0.000000    95.006971         34.000000
Total Standard Cost for Parent           129.006971

Part LTXX-SLX-WXX-L:
Component Totals                               Setup            Material          Out Proc
                                                         0.000000    58.527971           7.500000
Incremental Costs for parent                 0.000000    0.000000           16.000000
*** Total Costs ***                              0.000000    58.527971         23.500000
Total Standard Cost for Parent           82.027971

part ILTxx-SLX-WXX-M:
Component Totals                               Setup            Material          Out Proc
                                                         0.000000    58.677971           7.500000
Incremental Costs for parent                 0.000000    0.000000           16.000000
*** Total Costs ***                              0.000000    58.677971         23.500000
Total Standard Cost for Parent           82.177971

Now instead of printing individually, select Item Range (in this case these are 3 related parts that are together in the inventory listing) ILTXX-SLX-WXX-C, ILTXX-SLX-WXX-L, ILTXX-SLX-WXX-R (so range is ILTXX-SLX-WXX-C - ILTXX-SLX-WXX--R)
Leave rest as default
Print
Viewing report, page 2 of part ILTXX-SLX-WXX-C shows
Component Totals                               Setup            Material          Out Proc
                                                         0.000000    95.006971         15.000000
Incremental Costs for parent                 0.000000    0.000000           19.000000
*** Total Costs ***                              0.000000    95.006971         34.000000

What's up?

Thanks,

Val

I agree that would not be correct but I just checked in my test company and could not duplicate.  I can have programming take a look and see if there is some set of circumstances that could cause that to happen.

That would be great if you could do that, Lynn.  It's a mystery to us!

Let us know.

Thanks

Val
