Title: Features & Options Post by dbernhard on 11/17/09 at 07:27:39 Not sure if this is a Sales or Inventory question - We have problems with releasing Sales Orders that contain F&O items because the system releases fractions of the finished product. Example: Order for 10 - shipping 5. Try to release just 5 from the sales order and the system released 2.5. I check the BOM and there are no fractions - only whole numbers in the BOM. Thought it might have to do with the F&O Feature setting - Mandatory, not mandatory or the Options defaults - Manufactured vs Kit, or perhaps the part type of components R,N or O. All I know is that no matter what I changed on the BOM the only way I could release 5 finished products was to delete the type O components from the BOM and re-enter the Sales order. Is anyone else using Features and Options successfully? Can you give me any tips on how to get it right? Appreciate your input |
Title: Re: Features & Options Post by GasGiant on 11/17/09 at 07:40:24 We had this problem a couple of years back, then it was fixed for quite awhile, now it is back. We get around it by undoing all releases and doing the release within the SO. Change the line item to Release? = Y and put the released qty in Ship Qty and the rest in Backord Qty. This releases everything correctly, but it is a pain. |
Title: Re: Features & Options Post by Vman on 11/17/09 at 08:35:32 There was/is problems with releasing SO with F&O using SO-E. We have always released them using SO-A. I was unaware that it had been corrected at one time. We were hoping that the whole F&O module would get some updating, to fix problems such as creation of zero-quanity workorders, but I don't see it happening. Unfortunately, my boss has decided that we are going to live with EVO as it is now, terminate our support plan, and maybe come back and look at it some time in the future :( |
