Is there any way to make the Sales Order & Invoice #'s larger than 6 digits, maybe 9 digits?

We have that need also. The 6 digit restriction is causing a problem with our SO number scheme.

We have been using a number system with the leading number tied to the year. 9XXXXX was for 2009. We were going to go to 10XXXXX for 2010. (We can't simply go to 10XXXX because those numbers were used previously, somewhat by accident in 10/2001.)

They'd have to change the program, you might want this posted in the suggestion box. it is a good idea.
