When entering an order in SO-A, the quantity entered in the ship quantity field shifts to the backorder field even if the item is in stock. Any ideas on what's causing this?

Are there other Sales Orders? Check the SD-Q default for "Calc BO on Available to Ship" - if that is Y then it checks not only stock on hand but also other sales orders. Also verify the Location of the Order compared to the Location of the inventory.

It does say Y for calc. bo on available to ship (and we see that it works sometimes.) We only have one location called MAIN, I went into IN-K for WF3937X02031193 to make sure that the material is in MAIN and it was. I checked the SO and it says location MAIN as well.
