Title: SO-P-G Error Post by cmsk on 06/09/10 at 11:28:55 Hi, Trying to print an RMA form is giving me an error dialog box ADDSUM TAS PREMIER 7i with the text "Can Not Generate Report." The Form has been modified with some simple text label fields, but I don't know why that would affect anything, but maybe so. Help please. Many thanks Chris |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by Lynn_Pantic on 06/09/10 at 15:38:53 The RMA programs on the SO-P menu have not been supported for several years. You should be using the RM module instead and SO-O-J & K for reports. |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by cmsk on 06/10/10 at 05:43:34 Hmmm, this wasn't an issue 'til we modified the form, but okay -- where is the RM module? Is this a separate module we need to add, 'cause I don't see it anywhere on the menus. |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by cmsk on 06/10/10 at 06:49:59 K, found it under the ADMIN account, but how do I add the menu to various users? I know how to add menu lines, but there doesn't seem to be a way to add main menu icons. I really don't want to recreate the user via ADMIN and then go through deleting what they don't need... tedious at best. Also, what about all of the existing RMA's that where entered with SO-F? Are they transferred to the new RMA area? If not, how do I get them there? |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by cmsk on 06/11/10 at 05:16:46 Anyone?!?! |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by gtladmin on 06/11/10 at 13:28:55 You need to edit the user menu, and in the menu button window, go down to the last menu item and then hit the down arrow to create a new blank item. Click in the blank box and you will see an ellipsis (...). Click on the ellipsis(...) and a window will pop up where you can select the menu button you want. Once you've added the button, click on the menu lines tab to add the menu items for that button, then save. |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by cmsk on 06/14/10 at 04:30:14 Down arrow!?! Got it. Thanks Val. Any input on my questions regarding the existing RMA's? |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by cmsk on 06/15/10 at 08:16:08 Still need info on existing RMA's, but there's a new problem; the RMA's won't print. When you select the PRINT button, the window just closes. No error, no message, nothing to the printer?!?!? Help please. |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by gtladmin on 06/15/10 at 13:08:14 So far as I know you cannot see your old RMAs and I don't think you can move them over. We have not been able to do that, so we continue to use both modules until all the old ones are closed out. |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by gtladmin on 06/15/10 at 13:15:26 I think on the printing issue we reported the same thing. I just tried it myself, and we have the same problem still. It comes all the way up to t6rma1.rtm, you select that, and nothing. It does not go to the usual print window. |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by cmsk on 06/15/10 at 13:32:44 Well then I guess this new module is of no use to us right now, so we go back to my original question in this thread... The error when generating the report. Anyway to fix that? |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by GasGiant on 06/15/10 at 13:52:20 The correct form for RM-B is IT6RMA1.RTM, noting the "I" in front of "T6". You'll always find the most recent version of that in the rtx folder. Works fine here. We have been using this "new" module for three years and it works fine. There were a number of bugs in the service module for those using serial numbers, but most of that is cleared up, now. The only problems we see these days are the occasional dissociation of service work orders from their service order line item and errors with serial number availability when we go to release, but we have work-arounds for both that keep us chugging. We process over 250 RMAs per year. |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by cmsk on 06/15/10 at 14:01:49 Thanks Colin I'll give it a shot in the a.m. |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by cmsk on 06/16/10 at 05:15:29 Well, sorry to say that didn't work either. Same thing; I put the form name in, IT6RMA1.RTM, and soon as I hit Enter it closes down the window. |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by gtladmin on 06/16/10 at 07:44:52 When I change to that form, the RMA does indeed print. Thanks Colin! How come it didn't default that way, I wonder? |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by cmsk on 06/16/10 at 07:50:13 Obviously I have something else going on then -- any ideas? |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by cmsk on 06/17/10 at 04:33:42 Ooo-kay... Well back to using the old RMA's with an unmodified form. Can someone at least shed some light on why a few added text boxes would give me the error I originally asked about? |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by cmsk on 06/18/10 at 07:52:11 ? |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by cmsk on 06/22/10 at 08:26:25 No other suggestions? I need to get several notes on the RMA form when printed. |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by Lynn_Pantic on 06/23/10 at 19:47:21 Can you email me the modified RTM; maybe I can see what the issue is. Sometimes adding text objects pushes regions on the form beyond the boundaries that are defined. Also, make sure you are using Evo RTM Editor to edit Evo forms and hte DBA RTM editor to modify DBA Classic forms. |
Title: Re: SO-P-G Error Post by cmsk on 06/24/10 at 04:23:44 Ummm, I'm just using the Report Editor from the menu file menu... I assume that's the right on. I can't attach files here right... I'll email it to you. |
