We upgraded our pervasive to version 11 yesterday, all current workstations work fine. Trying to setup a new windows 7 32-bit machine for an existing user. User account control is disabled. Ran the setup for the pervasive client, then ran the DBA workstation setup from the server as administrator. When you try to run DBA, the splash screen sits there for a long time, then gives a btrieve 3103 error. Disabled windows firewall - didn't help. Runs fine on her old XP workstation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Make sure that, even if you are logged in a admin under w7, that you right click and install both the Pervasive 11 client and DBA with the Run as Administrator option from the drop down. Even then I've had some issues with Pervasive and have had to install it twice to get it to work.

It was due to the firewall configuration and network DNS setup. Also had to install pervasive as a service instead of an application.
