Title: T7INF
Post by GasGiant on 06/07/11 at 05:18:20

Yes, I am on the previous release, but I do not see any fix for this listed in the May update.

I get different results when I run T7INF and BKINF for a prior date using the exact same settings. I have run it several times to make sure that all settings are exactly the same. our $1.7M inventory value for our main location on 4/30/11 is different by about 50k. The T7 version results do not add up, either. If we run all, then run for individual inventory accounts, the total of the accounts adds up to the All total with BKINF, but does not with T7INF. Even the quantities of items are quite different between the two version of the report  :-[

The T7POJB is doing the same kind of thing. Different results than we get with BKPOJB  :'(

Are you running the programs back to back without exiting?  There was an issue with totals not clearing between runs which was fixed in the May release.

I have only a $.12 difference between an Inventory value as of given date. 1.2 mill value, between BK & T7 inf's.

the sample db might be small, but 13,920 item codes, 746,552 invtxns.

am on the 5/17/11 update. i've run both programs back to back several times. same results.

maybe the difference is you're still using the outdated pervasive 2000i. i'm using pervasive 11 on a win2008 server. since the pervasive is caching the build, the 2000i might be leaking.

After the May update the difference is smaller, but there is still a difference. Both INF and POJB have differences between BK and T7 versions. Since the reports are being run for auditors there is no wiggle room. They demand to know why there is a difference, which one is correct, and how we are going to test the numbers to prove them. They will be disappointed with my answers, no matter what I come back with, so I'm not too worried about that. The numbers are garbage anyway because I have not run SM-J-C since last June. :-/ Evo is prone to non-transactional changes to UOH, so relying on as-of dates if a bit silly beyond a few days.
