Unused Inventory
01/05/04 at 17:52:45

Everyone at work loves the new Usage and Transaction functions on the inventory screen.  Thanks!!  Now that we can easilly find when it was used, can we find out when it was last used??  Actually, I guess I am asking for a report that is a bit different.

We'd really like something like an Inventory Report / List that sorted on Date Last Used (providing the date it was last used, of course), or something like that.  Preferrably oldest to newest so we can start at the beginning to see if we should dispose of items, but it really wouldn't matter.

Along with this would be to know what the average time stock lays around on the shelves collecting dust.  Is it 15 days on average, 30, 60, 974??  Both as a whole (all inventory together) and for each individual inventory item.

Thanks

John

There is a report BKACT run at UT-A what can list all items that have had NO transactions in a date range.  I suspect something that takes that as a starting point would be what you are looking for.

Lynn,

I think it is time to get my pad of paper out and keep track of where I've left messages!!  Since you (and others) keep responding, it would make it easier to find them again so I can actually learn something!!

I will give the BKACT a run this morning and see what it comes up with.

Thanks
