tracking #

Hi, I want to thank you for the ability to put tracking numbers on the Sales orders the only problem is that they only print if you say yes to the sales notes unfortunately we use the sales notes for inhouse information that we dont want printed on the invoice. Is there a way of putting a toggle button so you have a choice printing the tracking numbers.

Note sure if it made it into the 4/23 update but if not, the next update enables identifying notes entered in SO-A as Hidden Notes meaning they won't print on the custoemr forms.  So your internal notes can be designated as Hidden while the tracking numbers would not be.

Lynn,

We were talking to UPS yesterday and they say they have or will have ability soon to download UPS Tracking number when you ship.  The Acct Exec asked if DBA is ODBC compliant.  Not sure what that means exactly but sounds like a real time saver for us if our sales team could answer the customers shipping questions when  customer invoicing isn't done.  What are your thoughts on the practical and security issues?

Yes DBA is ODBC compliant. You could connect UPS software through ODBC to DBA and popoulate a field.

The trick in this case is there has to be associated logic that recognizes to tie the tracking number to the correct record in BKARINV and BKARINVL.

Hello all,

We've made a crystal report that goes into the UPS database and lists all the shipping information by customer and by date.

We use the UPS reference #1 for our SO# and UPS reference #2 for the customer's PO# (not really that important, but we do it).

If anyone wants the report, either email me or tell me where I am supposed to upload it.

It's in CR v9.0 by the way.

Regards,

Nick
