Help....my license has not expired!!
07/31/04 at 06:56:38

I've been working fine in DBA for several hours this morning.
Then all of a sudden I try to get into SO-O and print reports and I got the message that my licences has expired.

I have a lifetime users license.   And I renew in May anyway!!!   Help....Help.   I need to get this fixed by Monday morning 5:AM CST.

What have I done wrong???

Thanks,
Laura

Click File - License Administrator - what does it say there for expiration date?  Can you get into DBA from another workstation?

OKAY its fixed  ....   BUT ......   what caused this to happen?

A big huge thank you to  NOVAZYG  whose suggestion got us back up and running!!!

If you did purchase a lifetime license from DBA, then they would have emailed it to you. Check your emails or the email address that DBA would have sent it to. Save that to the DBAMFG folder. It should be about 24- 27k not 0 bytes.  By loading your old license it has erased your company name & address so you will need to go reenter it.

Don't know what caused it but I suggest you make a backup copy of that file and put it in a safe place.  The DBA license file is named START_UP.RUN and if you have a lifetime license and 2030 expiration date, if it ever gets damaged or corrupted, you can restore the backup copy.

Lynn,

I'm getting the same type of messages - Access violation error - I found the registration disk for 2002.4, but am not sure it is the one that has the lifetime registration date on it.  When I looked as suggested above, mine also had the 12/31/1889 date.  I am getting the following messages now when I try to update from that registration disk.

1. An error occurred while copying START_UP>RUN and
2. The file BKKMENU.ARY is not in your default path.

I'm not sure what I should do?  Do I need to ask dba to resend my lifetime registration disk?

Never mind the last entry - Everything appears to be working fine this morning.
