Workstation Evo problems
01/03/05 at 14:48:18

I just installed Evo on the fourth workstation ( many more to go but doing this slowly) and I am getting an error- "A record was not found in Fileloc for file BKSYMSTR.BG-2  . There must be a record for each file opened."  Then, Open error-2, BKSYMSTR, M:\DBAMENU_FLEX.rwn, exe path C:\ists\
I am sure I have had this problem on one other workstation but I can't find the answer from Lynn about how to fix it.  Could you help me again?!
I can see another new year's resolution staring me in the face! Tongue

Does it matter which user login ID you use when trying to log in from that workstation?  Are you launching the program from the EXE on the server or a local icon?

I am using the local icon to launch.  The message comes up right after the license screen, after I hit continue, so I don't get the chance to try to log in.  When I try to open evo again on that computer I get the message " You already have an instance of TASPRo6 runtime for this particular path M:\"
On a different computer I can open evo and log in with the user name for the malfunctioning workstation, and it works fine.

On the problem workstation, go to C:\ISTS and run TAS6EVOSETUP.EXE and make sure the path listed on the top banner of the program indicates C:\ISTS.  Check the paths and Start in company and fix anything that might be wrong.

Thanks, Lynn.  I remembered it being something simple to fix and something that I caused.  I forgot to add the B before the startup company code.

I rec'd this error just now and am thrilled to have found an answer! I also didn't think of the "B".
