I wish you could not duplicate a serial # when entering finished Production. If their are units on hand it will not let you add it, but if UOH is 0 it will add 1 unit to that #. It will also leave the original date and SO # on it.

Double edged sword - what if you brought it back in for repair? It could be a valid entry to re-receive the same serial number.
