PI Report Enhancement
01/17/07 at 12:26:34

Manufacturing wants to know if it's possible to modify the PI report from capture frozen inventory to say do not include parts that have a zero UOH, regardless.  Any possibility?  This is to avoid having to enter tags for these items.

Thanks,

Val

Why do you need a tag entered for an item with 0 on hand? In either a Type 1 or Type 2 Inventory, if the DBA UOH is 0 and no tag is entered for it, the UOH will stay 0.

Well, they run a type 1 and it won't let them go by w/o entering the tag.  This is for cycle counting, so they don't want to have to do anything with a zero UOH.  They'll try the type 2 tomorrow and see if it will let them go by the UOH of zero.

Type 1 you ONLY need to enter information for things that have a different count that the frozen so if the frozen is 0 and you in fact don't have any, then don't enter a tag.  I don't understand what you mean by "It won't let them go by w/o entering a tag".

Well, I think what they are doing is *assuming* because it shows up on their report and it's assigned a tag that
they *have to* enter something in to the system, when in fact it sounds like they just ignore it.  They'll try that.

Thanks,
Val
