Report or Way to Track New Part Setups
06/07/07 at 09:27:00

It would be GREAT if we could have a report that would show us when new parts were created/added to inventory, the date, the details, and by whom (user ID).  It's on our Finance Dept's "wish list".  It does not appear that the inventory transactions report actually does this, and we would want a report of just newly added parts (possibly also one for deleted parts, too!).

This was added (along with an audit trail of changes to inventory master files) in the 7/14/07 update.

Where is this report at?  We have done the 7/14 update and I can not find this report.

It is not a report, it is a grid. In EVO T7INB there is a button at the top of the screen (looks like a clip board and a pencil) that will bring up the audit trail for the item that you are currently on. Also in EVO if you run T7QGRID.rwn from UT-A then you can select ICAUDIT and it will display the list of all the items and their audit info. Because everybody wants to see something different , the default grid we provide for ICAUDIT just contains Item, Audit info, Class, and Type. To add  the fields you want to see, go to SU-A and edit the ICAUDIT grid. If you want a report of the audit info, you can press the printer button on the grid and it will print out for you.

Also, be advised, the program only began collecting the data with the installation of the 7/14 update so it is not going to show historical data.

Thanks, Lynn.  After going into numerous items and finding that there wasn't any data, I was going to inquire if it was data since the installation (we installed last night).

Also, I have gone into UT-A and SU-A to look for ICAUDIT and the file is not available.  Do you know why?

Thanks

SU-A and then click the dropdown for Grid Name to get the list of available grids should include ICAUDIT as a choice.
