In starting to use the ROHS compliant field, we have decided it would be nice if this was more than just a check box (on the the older menu, Y or N).  There are times when we might want to make it another character (a question mark = we are not sure yet or don't know yet) or (an S = see specs, because it was non compliant up to this date or lot but is compliant afterwards), etc.
Perhaps a single character text field? - as long as this doesn't screw up something else that this is associated with....
