Enter Finished Product - Actual Cost anomaly
11/06/07 at 11:43:39

In DBA Classic, WO-I, we select N when prompted to use Standard cost and we let the system compute actual cost.

- How is DBA computing the actual cost?  We've seen some very odd anomalies where the total actual cost divided by the quantity is not what DBA computes in the actual unit cost field.

- Is there any chance it could pull the estimated cost even if we select N to use standard cost?

Thanks,

We have found problems if we are not entering the final quantity. If it's not the final quantity we always manually calculate the actual cost.

There was a substantial thread about this probably about a year ago. You could probably find it using the Search function.

What happens if SD-B parameter "Use Std Cost in Ent Fin Prod" is set to Y, but the operator says N to using standard cost in WO-I?

Then the program will calculate a prorated cost based on the partial completion logic described in the FAQ

So that could account for the crazy actual cost values we're getting, correct?
