Actually, on the subject of email, the problem I posted is different. Does email from AR-A or AP-A work for anyone else?

Are you saying that emailing works in other areas just not those ones? And, what exactly does the bounced message say? Once again the headers would be helpful in tracing down the problem.

Emailing forms works fine everywhere. *

Creating a new Outlook Email using the link in AR-A or AP-A is where the problem is. If you've never used it, it (as far as I understand) is just supposed to work like a mailto:user@domain.com link. And it appears to - it opens a new Outlook message addressed to the email address selected. However, it does not actually get sent. I don't know how to show headers, because as far as I can tell there are no headers on Sent messages, only Received ones. It goes into the Sent folder, and a message from System Administrator shows up in my InBox, immediately.

* Actually, there is one bug. It emails fine, but when you email a Customer Quote from ES-D it gives you an error message, and it does not update the email address for the contact/customer.

Well, there are headers on sent messages. After all, the recipient and the sender are both defined in headers.

But, from your screen shot it seems as if outlook itself is bouncing the message and not your mail server. This seems quite odd... I'm not exactly an expert with Outlook (I use Thunderbird and webmail myself) so I'm not sure how much help I can be with Outlook problems. However, I could at least ask this much: Do mailto tags properly work?

I can use AR-A and AP-A to send an e-mail, but when the message opens in Outlook I have to check the properties of the address. The E-mail type entry shows the contact e-mail address. When I click the "Internet Type" button the e-mail type shows SMTP. Now the message will send successfully.

Yes, mailto tags work fine.

TooColdHere: I'm not sure where you are finding the properties of the address - can you enlighten me?

Edit: I found out that by right-clicking the email address you can get to properties. The "Email Type" is "DW @ VFH . US" (without the spaces) which is the email address I'm trying to send to. When I click the button next to it that says "Internet Type" it changes the Email Type to "SMTP" and the name of the button changes to "Custom Type". Then it will go through.

And TooColdHere gets a cookie for the winning solution! Wink

But, I'm sure it'd still be nice to figure out why Outlook screws up on the Evo link but works fine for mailto tags... I suppose we'd need NovaZyg to enlighten us on what goes on in Evo when you use the Email link.
