I can't seem to figure out a good way to do this... We'd like to start tracking machining time on the milling of dies for projects. For instance, on a new part we might have to cut brand news dies AND run parts. I'd like to put both on the same WO as they are both on the Sales Order and the customer is getting charged for both. Now, machining is not tied to part quantities it's just a one time thing. What's the best way to track that via a work order? Should I try to do two work orders for each machining/stamping project, one for each phase? If so do I just claim the dies as one part and use really big per part times for the machining steps? Yes, starting a new phase of program usage is fun...
