Scroll Above Search Part in IN-A, IN-B
02/26/08 at 10:30:18

IN-A OR IN-B, GUI or Classic, we are seeing this issue:

Press F2 to do a lookup, find the part, enter to bring it up.  Hit F2 again, grind comes up.  Cannot page up, mouse up, cursor up ABOVE the last part looked up unless you first page down/mouse down/cursor down more than a full page, then you can go back up above your last lookup.  If we type in the search instead of trying to scroll or otherwise move up, it will go above, but cursoring/mousing/page up won't work.

Frustrating our Purchasing Dept. and Production Manager because they frequently need to do lookups where they then try to go up a few above what they last looked up and they can't do that.

Old problem. I reported it on July 19, 2006. Still there.

You know the old parable of the company that released source code and the company that did not?

Seriously... some things could be fixed by users... or at least maybe we could offer better suggestions...

People really do offer source code with their ERP packages, I swear! Just look at Postbooks, OpenBravo, Compiere, etc.

Hidden in that list is an ERP package that I really seriously am thinking of switching to. I've never quite liked how Evo has magically turned closed source from the open source DBA Mfg. Well, partially open source DBA... You never could compile it yourself. Not to mention, I hate TAS, I hate Btrieve, and Evo uses both. So, yes, I've been investigating my options. There you go. Wink

Can this be fixed for the next update? Just want to keep this on the radar screen. Maybe someone that knows how to add this to the new bug tracker can do that.
