I have a work order that was converted from a sales order. The traveler prints with the sales order notes in the instructions with the old version. This is one area that we would see an advantage to the new evo notes system that allows you to pick which notes to print on the traveler.
But when I print with the new en and notes enabled on my test install of the 3/27 update I get no notes printed at all, even with all types selected. I am assuming that the notes that should be printing on the Instructions part of the report are Evo notes which include SO type CSN.
While we would like the ability to choose to print or not, not being able to at all is not an option.

As a side issue, I don't get how you would add any other kind of SO notes than CSN or CSH-- am I missing something or is this currently true but might change in the future?

Like the links system, the Evo Notes are only accessible in the Grids, So the current T6SOA does not use Evo notes, I am working on a T7SOA right now, and that uses the Evo Notes. So for the short time, if you want to use Evo notes on SO's you must do some type of lookup to the SO and enter the notes there. I know not a great solution..

I just got off the phone with Lynn and I was explaining this issue to her, and we came up with a possible solution. I will try to have T6SOA also save its notes to the CSN & CSH Evo notes. Currently only T7ARA,T7APA, T7POA, T7SOA, T7WOA do this and T7POA & SOA have not been released yet.

I just checked the S/R work order that I got to work. There are CSN notes in the work order record (when you are actually in the work order and click on the notes icon). They go away when you are in the lookup screen and highlighting the work order. I finally get that the notes I am seeing in the work order are "notes" and not "Evo notes."
It would certainly speed up my ability to use this if you could tweak it so that the T6SO saves to the Evo notes. I don't think I can explain this to some of my users.

I'm confused (which isn't hard to do.) I have held back from updating to the last update because I don't fully understand the consequences. If I enter additional lines of description at the sales order, are these lines going to convert to the work order and print as in the past, on the traveler, in the instructions section, or has that changed? I don't understand the statement like the links system the evo notes are only accessible in the grids. I use links all the time but access them through the buttons in IN-A and IN-B.
I still don't understand the grid system. I'm afraid of "shooting myself in the foot" by installing the last upgrade.

I just did it. I shot myself in the foot again. I installed the last update and now my notes don't print on the traveler. Please, please, tell me how to fix this. The notes contain critical information for the shop floor. I don't see any explaination in the help files. Like Cathy said, I can see the notes at the enter work order screen, but they do not print.

Allen, how do I get the notes that do show up at the work order entry screen "notes" button, to print where this morning, they printed just fine on the traveler under the "Instructions" section? This is going to kill me in the morning. I hate to restore the backup, if it isn't necessary.
