Turning off update add-ons
08/07/08 at 07:24:41

Our company currently uses DBA Classic 2004.1...with the new update from our older 2002.2 version, SO-A now warns if CUST PO exists in another SO...however we input "STOCK" when it's a shipment to ourselves from another facility, giving us the : "THIS PO NUMBER HAS ALREADY BEEN USED BY THIS CUSTOMER ON SO#_____" error message.

Is there a way to turn off such notifications of duplicate Cust PO's????? It reports on each SO that has that same "STOCK" Cust PO#....creating almost 25-30 pop-ups and steadily increasing!! In a month, I can see almost 1000 pop up error messages to click through just to put in a SO!

Any suggestions?

I don't know if this applies in Classic, but in Evo in the IS Tech Defaults, SD-Q, Sales I,  there is a setting to check for duplicate PO-  we have ours set to "N" and this eliminated the pop up.

The setting applies to both DBA Classic and Evo but only with IS Tech updates installed.  If you are using Classic, you should subscribe to the IS Tech Updates if you have not already.  Wink

I can't imagine any more where we would be without IS Tech Updates!

Lynn's suggestion was not a recommendation to update to EVO.  It was a recommendation to update your DBA Classic.

The ISTECH updates update both the Classic DBA and EVO.

For $40 per month, you will get ALL ISTECH updates to Classic DBA to date.

This will allow you to set the option referred to above so that you do not get these warnings regarding duplicate PO's during SO entry.

There are countless issues regarding basic DBA operation that have been fixed by ISTECH.
I also cannot imagine using "plain vanilla" Classic DBA.  It would be a nightmare.
