Reading the help screens, I get the impression that I should be able to process sales orders with multiple locations on a single SO. I must be missing having clicked a box somewhere in a settings screen, because I can't figure out how to make it work. What have I missed?

SD-Q, Sales I, "Allow Editing of Line Locations SO"  set it to Y
 
Then you will be able to edit location for each line item separate from SO header location.
