Convert one line of kit to works order?

Is there any way to convert only one line of a selling kit from Sales Order to Works Order?
 
Our kits are normally three parts and two come out of stock, but the third is made to order.

Convert the SO to WO, and on the SO-N screen, reply Y to prompt for WO Quantity and Y to Create WO for Kit Components.  Change the quantity to 0 for the components that you do not want WO for.
