RMAs in the S/R Module (Read 1510 times)

Hi
We have a major problem - when releasing an RMA in the S/R Module the system does not see it in the Sales Order Module and the system will duplicate the Invoice number of the S/R and S/O
I can repeat the error over and over

The SO and S/R data is completely separate and so is the numbering. They don't come together until they are invoiced.

Yes I know that - however when they do come together to be invoiced they are both picking the same next number.  And it has nothing to do with timing.  We can re-create this everytime, anytime

Thank you for clarifying. And are you updated to the most recent version? I'm only asking in an attempt to help. We've used the new RMA module heavily since it came out and the previous iteration of the S/R module, but have never encountered this particular problem. Did this just start recently?

I appreciate the help.  
Yes, we just started using the module.  We have to be sure to release and post all the SO invoices and then release, invoice and post the SR invoices.  I just don't understand - I know that others are using this so why do our invoices keep duplicating?

yes we do have the latest version - so I am told
Perhaps there was a fix or patch that we do not have?

Unfortunately, I can't find Michel (JEMM) this afternoon to get him into this thread. He'd know about versions and bugs. I'm glad that you have a work-around for now, hopefully we can get him into the conversation on Monday.
 
Incidentally, the way you have described it, it sounds as if the SO side is having the problem. If you do multiple S/R invoicing in a row, does the counter advance for them?

Yes - the Invoice counter will advance in SO and the Invoice counter will advance in SR - for some reason these two modules do not see each other...But if you are using it successfully???what else could it be?  I did emaill Lori of ISTech and she was able to reproduce the error also.

Actually Mike did not fix this one I did.. I just sent 24 programs to Lynn  BK, T6, T7 programs that had this issue. The SO's were not checking the SR invoice numbers and the SR's were not checking the SO Invoice numbers for Printed but not posted invoice numbers..
 
Its has been fixed.

Aha, that explains why we never see this. Only one person in our company does invoicing and she does not mix the two. She does all of the SO invoicing at the end of the day, but works with S/R billing during the earlier parts of the day. In general, nothing is left printed and unposted.

Lynn sent us the patch file for this, so last night, I installed first the 10/16 patch, then the patch for duplicate invoice numbers.  Now my users can't print invoices (SO-F); they get the message, "You have not renewed your ISTECH Support License.  You are not entitled to run this newer version.  Please contact lynn@istechsupport.com to update your license." This is in Evo, not DBA.
 
I then installed my license count increase files from 11/3 (suwin6 and bkarsivl), and confirmed that my seat count increased (which it did), but we still get the license error.
