We've seen this before and have never found an answer. In the past it has just fixed itself at some point. We run SR-E and it opens the program, and tries to display the list of open SRs, but closes instead. SR-A works fine, including look ups. Can see nothing the Maintain Database that would suggest bad data.  
 
We were hoping this would go away on its own again, but it has been since Wednesday and still the same.

Good. now I just have to make sure Accounting is finished noodling around with the quarterly so that I can do the upgrade.
