not in bkicmstr

I've had this problem for a long time, any time I try to roll up std cost and most recently when I was doing a where used on "labor"

The error is: 604-840 or whatever the bad number is - not in inv file bkicmstr.  But they are part numbers that have for whatever reason been removed from the system and haven’t been there for years, in some instances.  Is there somewhere in maintain database I can find them to get rid of the fragments?

In one case I added the part number back, changed the type to O and then deleted it.  In one case it wouldn’t let me delete it because it said there was a bom, even though it was nowhere in the system– sure enough, after I added it to system, there was a bom attached (I don’t understand since you normally can’t delete a part number with a bom)…so I deleted the bom and was then told I couldn’t delete it because it was on a work order, but there are no allocations for the part so how can it be on a work order.

I can continue the work around, and try to go through adding back the ones that pop up, but it takes a while because whatever you are running it stops as soon as it hits that number and only runs the report for what it has completed up to that point.

The biggest problem is when I roll up standard costs, leaving everything after the problem “non”number with zero standard costs so I have to roll up std cost in several steps skipping over the problems.

Not urgent, but it would be nice to figure out how to fix this.

Does SM-J-C find the fragments when it runs?
