Setting up different percentages for commission
09/11/09 at 08:28:38

I am setting up an employee as a salesperson.  In CS-A, there is a field for the %.  However, he is going to be paid different % for different inventory types.  do I need to set up a new salesperson for each different % rate that he is to be paid?

No, for different percentage by item, you need to either enable Enter Commission at Line Item Entry so that Order Entry can manually adjust commission or enter Price Codes (even if the price is always Base Price) and then Price Code commissions in CS-K

Thank you.  I am setting up Price Codes, doing it that way.  I set up through SO-Q-D - the part number, just one price break, I used qty of 1, then went to CS-K, and used price code number 1 (same number as I set up the price code in the enter section) and then put the % in there.

The % however is not coming through onto the SOs properly though - it is using the default %.  What is the final question on the SO-Q-D screen - overwrite existing codes - S/R/C?? though it's not letting me go to that field.

Since you don't have quantity price breaks, use a quantity of 99999999 instead of 1.

That doesn't make a difference.  I'd already tried that, and I just tried it again.  Is there somewhere else, other than in CS-A that the % is set that might be overruling the price code commission?

No, the price code would override anything else.  Are you entering the same price code on the sales order header?

If you assign the proce code to customers in AR-A then it will pull into Sales Orders automatically.
