Unposted ledger trans dated 6009

I have unposted ledger transactions in DBA dated 6009 (typo!).  They can't be edited as they originate with A/P items that have been paid. Am I doomed to have these forever (or until I add the next 48,000 accounting periods)?

You could use Maintain Database on the BKGLTEMP file to delete them but I don't see how they could possibly have been created - the program should have prevented anything farther out than next year.
