Trouble Logging into EVO
01/24/10 at 11:13:39

I am unable to get into EVO. We are using the 9/16/09 update.  After entering my user name and password I get the following message:  "Error while creating menu item." I click OK and then get the following message:  Error during creation of module menu items - 2: "3", "22", "AR", 26, "Accounts Receivable".

I can get into Classic DBA (version 2004.1 9/16/09 update), but cannot access AR-C and CS-O, so I am assuming the two issues are related.  What do I need to do?

The issues are unrelated.  The Evo login is because your menu has gotten corrupted.  You will need to have your administrator delete and recreate it.

No access to programs in DBA is based on the PS-B setting and unrelated to the Evo menu.

OK. I got the login problem resolved, but what needs to be done to regain access to AR-C and CS-O?  When I try to access these programs I simply get thrown back to the main AR and CS menus.

That sounds like a data corruption issue.  Or possibly a file larger than 2 GB.   Look at your data folder sorted by size and make sure no single file is 2 GB.  If not, then look at other CS and AR programs and see which open and which do not.   That will help isolate which data file is damaged.  BKPRCOMM is a suspect based on AR-C and CS-O both failing.

Issue resolved.  Thanks, Lynn.  It was a corrupt BKPRCOMM file.
