Evo not starting?

One of our users cannot login because Evo doesn't do anything after the splash screen, i.e. it doesn't pop up with the login screen, it just sits idly. When you try to exit Evo from the task manager, it gives an access violation. I tried reinstalling Pervasive as well as Evo itself (by copying a different version of the ISTS folder over to the machine) and I'm still having the same problem. Has this happened to anyone else?

What OS?  When you run evoerp.exe, did you "run as administrator" ?

We're running XP on that particular machine. He said it ran fine for him before, and the next time he went to use it, it wouldn't start up like I described. He also tried restarting, but to no effect.
