Triggers
03/30/11 at 08:18:57

So, is this how triggers are supposed to work? I turned on triggers for type A and F items. I'm getting pop-ups for every item that has no reorder level. How do I let this program know that a reorder level of zero with a reorder amount of zero means that I do not intend to make-to-stock?

Colin -

2 potential issues, we will address both.

First, the Reorder trigger compares on hand to reorder level and we need another "flavor" to compare Available.
Second, I suspect the code is looking for On Hand <= Reorder Level which is triggering everything that is zero.  It needs to not trigger unless you go below reorder Level.

If you are seeing something different please let me know.

Yes, I would expect it to only look for Avail < Reorder Qty, not = At least that is how we use the reorder quantities that we enter. It that how they work with MRP?

And yes, comparing to "available" would be much more useful than UOH, since we backflush in many cases. We run IN-L-S at least weekly, so our numbers stay updated pretty well.

If I can get this working well then we will be able to nearly do away with packaging "safety stock" amounts and relying on that faulty concept altogether!

Okay I have just added a new Trigger called REORDERA it will check MTIC.PROD.AVAIL < BKIC.PROD.RLVL  and also I fixed REORDER to be < not <=.

Will be released soon.
